Ilona Kiss, literary historian, literary translator and András Radnóti, foreign policy expert, members of the Hungarian Europe Society made short online presentations about the political situation in Russia and the upcoming Duma elections on 9 April 2021. They discussed the rate of popular support to the imprisoned opposition leader Aleksei Navalny, the impacts of the nationwide demonstrations, the escalating conflict with Ukraine and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian vaccine diplomacy as well as the everyday functioning of the Putin regime. The event was moderated by Erik Uszkiewicz.
