István Hegedűs made a presentation at the conference on “The role of national parliaments in media regulation in Europe” organised by the Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and hosted by the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, London, Portcullis House on 21-22 May 2013.

In Britain, the campaign of the European Citizens' Initiative for Media Pluralism started on 21 March 2013. István Hegedűs represented the coalition of Hungarian NGO-s at the event in the House of Lords.
István Hegedűs gave an interview to Klubrádió during the lunch break of the conference on media pluralism organised by HES on 27 September 2013.
On 31 March 2011, the NGO European Alternatives organised a working conference in the European Parliament entitled Towards a European Initiative for Media Pluralism. Gabriella Zsófia Cseh represented HES in Brussels.
