The answer by István Hegedűs to the question of Judy Dempsey "Is the Coronavirus Breeding Disinformation Across Europe?" was published on the blog of Carnegie Europe on 9 April 2020. According to Hegedűs, a potential trial based on the authorisation law against a Socialist mayor might show whether the Hungarian liberal democracy has arrived at its “Mohács” - the name serves as a general reference in Hungary to the catastrophic defeat in the battle against the Ottomans in 1526.
