Kinga Szurday, as an expert of European law, participated at the event entitled „Political Action After the Two-third Vote in Strasbourg” organised by the Budai Liberális Klub on 24 September 2018. Ákos Hadházy, independent Member of the Hungarian Parliament, presented his initiative and the campaign to collect signatures for the cause joining the European Public Prosecutor’s Office. Hadházy claimed that this move would make it possible to start criminal procedures against those who are responsible for stealing EU resources. Kinga Szurday explained the legal background of the European Public Prosecutor's Office based on European Union law, arguing that in such cases European prosecutors would be able to conduct investigations independently from the hierarchy of the  Hungarian Prosecutors Office, however, following their indictment, the verdict will be delivered by the Hungarian courts.
