9:45 – 10:15 Presentation by Erik Uszkiewicz (Vice-Chairperson, Hungarian Europe Society; Researcher, DIACOMET): What is DIACOMET? – a brief summary of the project

DIACOMET project contributes to the advancement of ethical and accountable communication by fostering capacity building for civic resilience against information distortions and promoting civic accountability. DIACOMET aims to generate a concept of dialogic communication ethics (DCE), which would provide a framework for an inclusive model of accountability mechanisms that combine media accountability (the level of organisations) with civic accountability (the level of citizens) and is guided by a Civic Code of Good Communication Conduct (CGC) (a new type of code of communication ethics).

10:30 – 12:30 Interactive workshop – DILEMMA GAME

Introduction of the DILEMMA GAME by Halliki Harro-Loit (Professor, University of Tartu, Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of Social Studies)

One of DIACOMET's objectives is to develop an interactive instrument for training moral awareness and moral thinking is the so-called ‘dilemma game’, used for training in different professions to cope with various moral dilemmas. The aim of the game is to allow everyone to practice ethical decision-making in a risk free and playful environment. During our workshop, we will play the ‘dilemma game’ offline in small groups in an interactive way, facilitated by the colleagues of the Tartu University, member of the DIACOMET consortium.
